Lab Undergraduates presented at the URS.
Undergrad Researchers presented at the Department's Undergraduate Research Symposium on May 3rd.

Roo Swain, advised by grad mentor Charlie Branman, presented her work on how different canopy covers impact crab activity in the Pacific atoll of Tetiaroa. She found that crab activity was significantly higher in the native canopy - "broadleaf forest" than in the nonnative canopy composed of coconut trees.

Chloe Carlstrom and Kate Joos, advised by grad mentor Steph Copeland, presented their work on how higher levels of human activity, measured by data collected from the social media app AllTrails, significantly increased mosquito abundance around alpine lakes in the Eastern Sierra.
